Greg Monks

Greg is the Head of Orbit. He manages the day-to-day running of Orbit operations, ensuring that Corrs clients have all their legal resourcing needs met by the firm and utilising Orbit lawyers when required. Greg’s role plays a key conduit between Corrs partners, Corrs clients and the Orbit lawyers to develop and sustain best client and lawyer engagement. It has a combined business development, client focus, talent and people management remit. It is Greg’s upmost priority that our Orbit lawyers feel fully supported and continue their career development while engaged on Orbit assignments.

Greg is a qualified lawyer (ex-Norton Rose) who practised law for 8+ years before moving into legal recruitment then an HR business partnering role with PwC Legal. Greg’s global career in both legal practice and talent acquisition gives him a unique perspective, a diverse skillset and a wide network within the legal industry in various jurisdictions, particularly Australia, the UK and Singapore.

Greg brings his exceptional communication, strong legal knowledge and collaborative style altogether to provide his stakeholders with the support they need.

Evie Buttrose

Evie is the Director of Orbit, overseeing the operations of the business.

In a career spanning more than 15 years, Evie’s positions have included Budgets & Planning Manager for Big W (part of the Woolworths group) and Financial Planning & Reporting Manager for Kellogg Aust./NZ.  Her current role, in addition to Director of Orbit, is Director of Productivity & Realisation for Corrs Chambers Westgarth, which involves the day-to-day management of the Firm’s financial and operational activities, including resource management.  With a strong client focus and customer service ethic, Evie and her team provides financial advice relating to investment and pricing decisions, as well as deploying lawyers to the areas where our clients have the greatest needs.  Integral to her success in these roles has been effective partnering with senior management, managing priorities and delivering timely and accurate annual strategies and budgets.  CPA qualified and commercially driven, Evie’s career has seen her implement change and adaptation as the nature of the professional landscape evolves.

John Tuck

John is the Practice Group Leader of Employment, Workplace Relations and Safety at Corrs. He brings practical and strategic thinking to complex workplace issues and litigation.

Whether it‘s advising on national employment strategies, managing complicated workplace investigations for boards, or developing industrial and employment plans for multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects, John possesses a unique perspective that can come only with extensive experience.

John’s expertise has benefited State and Federal Governments and major Australian employers including Carlton & United Breweries, Transfield, Boeing, Downer EDI, Brookfield Multiplex, Amcor, GDF Suez and Australia Post.
